Walking

Writing a book is like walking a pilgrimage. There are days when all you can feel is the pain in your feet. But the very thing that makes you ache makes you stronger as you go, and every once in a while, at the top of a long hill, there’s a most amazing view through the trees. This morning I look up at the sky and down at the fields stretched out below me, and forget about everything except be, here, now.
