A Jump on Fall

jump on fall

Amidst an abundance of green, a few russet leaves wave languidly.  I think about how difficult it is not to anticipate, to be in the moment, to stay with summer—the heat, and the deer flies, and the overgrown paths, and the feeling that life is somehow getting away from us as August approaches.  Here now is a message from the universe: stay with summer, it is perfect.  Now is perfect.

I can’t explain it, but I think that this is my favourite so far. Yes, to listen to the Universe and to remember that right now, all is perfect, I just need to slow down and be in the moment.
